You may request deletion of your SustaBite account and associated personal information, subject to legal, financial, dispute, food safety, fraud prevention, and record-keeping requirements.
How to Delete Your Account in the App
- Open the SustaBite app.
- Make sure you are signed in to the account you want to delete.
- Go to Profile.
- Open Account settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the deletion notice carefully.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
- Tap the final delete button.
Once confirmed, your account will be scheduled for deletion or deleted according to SustaBite's account deletion process.
If You Cannot Access the App
If you cannot access your account, email us from the email address registered to your SustaBite account:
Please include:
- Your full name;
- Registered email address;
- Registered phone number;
- A clear request to delete your account.
We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
We aim to respond within 2 business days.
What We Delete
Where reasonably possible and not legally required to retain, we may delete or anonymise:
- Your customer profile;
- Login credentials;
- Saved vendors or favourites;
- Notification preferences;
- Device tokens;
- Profile photo;
- Customer-facing account information;
- Vendor profile information, if you are a vendor and your vendor relationship has ended;
- Active vendor listings, where applicable.
What We May Retain
We may retain certain records where necessary for legal, safety, tax, accounting, business, dispute, fraud prevention, or regulatory reasons, including:
- Completed order records;
- Payment and payout records;
- Refund and chargeback history;
- Vendor revenue and settlement records;
- Complaint and dispute records;
- Food safety investigation records;
- Records required for tax, accounting, or legal compliance;
- Anonymised ratings, reviews, analytics, and platform records.
Where possible, retained records may be anonymised or separated from your active account profile.
Vendor Account Deletion
If you are a vendor, deleting your user login does not automatically remove all business, payout, tax, order, dispute, or legal records.
Before deleting a vendor account, SustaBite may need to:
- Resolve active orders;
- Remove active listings;
- Complete pending payouts;
- Investigate disputes or complaints;
- Retain tax and financial records;
- Preserve food safety records where relevant.
Effect of Deletion
After account deletion, you may lose access to:
- Your account;
- Order history;
- Saved vendors;
- Receipts in the app;
- Vendor dashboard;
- Listings;
- Support history visible in the app;
- Promotions or benefits linked to your account.
Deletion may be permanent and may not be reversible.
